"Wabi-Sabi"
Wabi - Sabi is a japanese aesthetic and philosophical concept that finds beauty in imperfection, transcience, and simplicity. This portrait is named as such to celebrate the process of creating art, as it rarely turns out as intended but simply the way it was meant to be. The philosophy encourages us to embrace our flaws and see the unique beauty in them, rather than striving for perfection. This piece is a start of a collection of “Wabi-Sabi” as I strive to embrace this philosophy fully as I continue in my artistic journey.
